VALLONE NAMED NEW SPORTS INFORMATION DIRECTOR FOR SHORTER UNIVERSITY

Shorter University has a new Sports Information Director.  James Vallone has been hired for the job, following his recent graduation from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, while also minoring in Management.  He takes the post previously held by Senior Associate Athletic Director Matt Green, who will be transitioning to the position of Director of Compliance and Media Relations.  He will work with Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance, Dr. Richard Cowan, to help boost Shorter’s Office of Athletic Compliance as the university continues its transition to NCAA II membership, according to a Shorter sports release.
