Written by Elizabeth Davis. Posted in Shorter Sports, Sports

The 2012 season will kick off in less than two weeks for Shorter University’s football team.  The Hawks are hard at work in preparation for the season.  Head Coach Phil Jones told the voice of the Hawks, 95.7 FM The Ridge’s Jim Bojo, that he feels good about the upcoming season.

The Shorter University Hawks’ 2012 season will get underway on August 30th on the road in Buies Creek, North Carolina against Campbell.

This will be the first year that the Hawks will play in the Gulf South Conference of the NCAA Division II, after years with the Mid South Conference of the NAIA.
