SAM HUNT TO HEADLINE FIRST FRIDAY CONCERT TONIGHT

Written by Elizabeth Davis. Posted in News & Weather

Tonight’s the night of the August First Friday concert.  The concert is set to get underway at Bridgepoint Plaza in downtown Rome at 7 pm.  Cedartown native Sam Hunt will perform this month.  Hunt has been working as a songwriter in Nashville and wrote a song performed by Kenny Chesney called Come Over that’s currently number two on the country charts.  Lost Creek will serve as Hunt’s opening act.

The First Friday concert series is presented by Rome’s Downtown Development Authority and made possible by the Business Improvement District.  In the event of rain, tonight’s concert will be moved to the Rome City Auditorium.

For more information, call the Rome Downtown Development Authority at (706) 236-4520.

WLAQ AM 1410 and 95.7 FM The Ridge are proud sponsors of this year’s First Friday concert series.
