ROME TEA PARTY’S T-SPLOST TOWN HALL SET FOR TOMORROW

Written by Elizabeth Davis. Posted in News & Weather

The Rome Tea Party’s T-SPLOST Town Hall meeting is set for tomorrow from 10 am until noon at Burk Farms in Armuchee.  The event is being held to make for a more informed voting public where the T-SPLOST referendum that will be on the ballot in the July 31st primary is concerned.  TEA Party member Mike Morton says that a number of speaker panelists have been lined up for the meeting who are knowledgeable on the T-SPLOST referendum.  That list includes:  State Representative Katie Dempsey, former Floyd County Commission Chairman Eddie Lumsden, Georgia Public Policy Foundation Vice-President Benita Dodd and Dalton, Georgia Mayor David Pennington.

A barbecue lunch will follow tomorrow’s Town Hall meeting.

RSVP for the meeting (or get directions to the event) by emailing  Penny King at wethepeoplerome@rometeaparty.org or by calling Mike Morton at (706) 346-3400.
