MISSING FLOYD COUNTY COUPLE FOUND

The elderly Floyd County couple for whom a Mattie’s Call was issued over the weekend has been found.  Virgil and Marie Haney were both found around 8 am this morning in Alabama; Mrs. Haney, age 83, was found in Cullman County, and 90-year-old Mr. Haney was found in Jefferson County.  Ojilvia Lom, an investigator with the Floyd County Police Department, says that the Haneys are both ok and that the family is currently making arrangements for reuniting with the pair.  Virgil and Marie Haney had been missing since Saturday.  A Mattie’s Call, which is a statewide alert for missing elderly or disabled persons, was issued upon their disappearance.
