It is post-season time for area high school basketball teams.

The Region 7 AA tournament began yesterday at the Dalton Trade Center.

Here are the opening day scores:

BOYS

Calhoun 58, Rockmart 40

North Murray 59, Armuchee 44

GIRLS

River Ridge 47, Armuchee 46 in OT

Dade County 50, Pepperell 40

In today’s schedule:

4 pm – Dade County vs. Calhoun boys

5:30 pm – Calhoun vs. River Ridge girls

7 pm – Coosa vs. North Murray boys

8:30 pm – Model vs. Dade County girls

The Region 7 AA tournament will continue with championship and third-place games tomorrow.

The Region 7 AAAA tournament continues thru tomorrow at Cass High.

In today’s schedule:

4 pm – Rome vs. Lambert girls

5:30 pm – Chattahoochee vs. Creekview boys

7 pm – Creekview vs. NW Whitfield girls

Championship and third-place games will be played tomorrow in the Region 7 AAAA tournament.

The Region 6A tournament is being held thru Saturday at Trion High.
