FLOYD COUNTY DEMS TO HOST EARLY VOTING EXTRAVAGANZA

The Floyd County Democratic Party will host an Early Voting Extravaganza tomorrow from 11 am until 2 pm at Banty Jones Park on Maple Street.  A shuttle will be provided to those who wish to go vote early during the special Saturday early voting day at the Floyd County Elections office downtown Rome, according to Wendy Davis with the Floyd County Democrats.  There will also be live entertainment at the event from Soulful Sounds and food.

Early voting continues today from 8 am until 5 pm at the Floyd County Elections Office at the Floyd County Administration Building on East Fourth Avenue in downtown Rome.  Saturday voting will be offered tomorrow from 9 am until 4 pm.  Early voting will resume next Monday thru Friday from 8 am until 5 pm at the Elections Office with an additional early voting location to open at the Rome Civic Center next Monday thru Thursday.  Polls will be open on election day on Tuesday, July 31st from 7 am until 7 pm.  For more information, call the Floyd County Elections office at (706) 291-5167.
