SHORTER TO HOST 2012 MID-SOUTH TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS AT NEWLY RENOVATED MADDOX TRACK AND BARRON STADIUM

Shorter University will play host to the 2012 Mid-South Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships this weekend at the newly renovated Maddox Track and Historic Barron Stadium.  This is the first time that Shorter has ever hosted the championships, which are scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, April 27th and 28th.  Shorter’s Hawks have their hopes set on nabbing their fifth consecutive conference championship, while the Lady Hawks will compete for their fourth straight conference championship.

SHORTER SPLITS WITH BRENAU, REGULAR SEASON ENDS THIS WEEKEND

Shorter University’s 9th-ranked Lady Hawks softball team split a double header with Brenau in Gainesville yesterday evening.  Brenau won game one 4-2, while Shorter took the nightcap 4-1.  The Lady Hawks will close out the 2012 regular season today in Cleveland, Georgia against Truett McConnell.  The double header will get underway at 3 pm.
