END OF REGULAR SEASON NEARS FOR SHORTER UNIVERSITY BASKETBALL

It won’t be too long until the 2011-2012 regular season ends for Shorter University’s men’s and women’s basketball teams.  They’ll host Southern States Athletic Conference rival Lee University tomorrow night.  Tip off is set for 6 pm for the women and 8 pm for the men.  The regular season will end on the road for the Hawks and Lady Hawks this Saturday as they travel to Cleveland, Georgia to take on Truett McConnell.  The women will play at 2 pm, followed by the men at 4 pm.  All of those games will be aired on 95.7 FM The Ridge and online at www.theridge957.com.

SHORTER SWEEPS IN COLLEGE BASEBALL

Shorter University’s baseball Hawks hardily swept Reinhardt University in a double header yesterday at Shorter’s Robert H. Ledbetter Baseball Complex, 9-2 and 13-0.  The Hawks will return to action this weekend in New Orleans, Louisiana with a three game series against Southern States Athletic Conference rival Loyola University.

We’ll have Shorter University basketball on Thursday night on 95.7 FM The Ridge as the Hawks and Lady Hawks host Southern States Athletic Conference rival Lee University.  Tip off is set for 6 pm for the women and 8 pm for the men.  The games will be aired online at www.theridge957.com.  Shorter’s basketball teams will close out the 2011-2012 regular season on Saturday on the road against Truett McConnell.

CROSS-TOWN RIVALRY BETWEEN BERRY COLLEGE AND SHORTER UNIVERSITY TO BE REVIVED TONIGHT IN COLLEGE HOOPS

The cross-town rivalry between Berry College and Shorter University will be revived tonight at Berry as the women’s and men’s basketball teams meet for the second time this season in non-conference play.  Berry’s Lady Vikings will take on Shorter’s number 22 Lady Hawks at 6 pm.  The Vikings will face the number one Hawks at 8 pm.  The games will be broadcast on both 95.7 FM The Ridge and WLAQ AM 1410 and on our websites, www.theridge957.com and www.wlaq1410.com.
